Greek nationals Rd1 2012

Under perfect weather conditions the first round of the Greek nationals took place at the Arena Racing Track in Aspropyrgos near Athens. Already in qualifying the Shepherd drivers Kostas Sidiropoulos (2nd position) and Bill Lykaris (5th position) showed a good performance with their Velox V10 and qualified themselves for the A final.

In the 45min main final both Shepherd drivers had a great run. Sidiropoulos managed to take over the lead after 34 minutes when the leader had a stalled engine and never looked back. At that time Lykaris moved to second position with a save distance to the 3rd placed Dimitris Dimitriou (Xray). This was also the finishing order giving Shepherd the first win of the season in Greece with the team making a 1-2 finish.
